Nhan Dan - Sanyo-HQ Vietnam Electronic Components Company Limited, a subsidiary of Japan's Sanyo Electric Company Limited, has just launched the construction of its factory in Quang Chau Industrial Park in the northern province of Bac Giang.

The US$95 million factory specialises in producing optical pickups for DVD recorders and other devices.

Construction of the first plant and the office building is scheduled to be completed in April 2009 and the second plant in 2010.

After three years of operations, the plant will provide jobs for 12,000 workers with an export turnover of US$300 million a year.
